Consulting Mental Health for the
Creative & Wellbeing Industry

I  offer mental health and wellbeing support and services for artists, talent managers and directors in the comedy, music, theatre, entertainment, creative and wellbeing industries.    I have extensive experience with  artists and the creative industry.  I understand the pressures of all aspects of the industry and can have a valuable insight to many problems and issues.

Why is therapy important?

Mental health is defined by the World Health Organisation as “a state of mental and psychological wellbeing in which every individual realises his or her own potential, and can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.” An individual who has mental health problems affects everyone in their personal circle, their work circle and also impacts their wider circle who may in some way be dependent on them.

How can I help?

Clients often feel the pressure of performing to their highest ability.  Often the burden to be at their best can intensify stress and increase thoughts of self-doubt. Relationships can suffer as does interpersonal communication.   Knowing that these feelings can be expressed and contained safely creates a strong mental approach. My questions aim to delve into your unconscious to help guide and support you, for you to understand your triggers and at time overwhelming feelings and defensive actions.

Finding your strength

I work with the client to find their areas of strength in order to deal with  tension, insecurity, depression and the all consuming nature of life.  I support and  guide each client depending on their individual needs.

Each life is unique and has its own struggles and complications during times of vulnerability.  I listen to your story without judgment.  I reflect on your life to make sense of your unconscious and conscious clues.  Our dialogue explores patterns as they emerge and become clearer. I offer support and techniques in a confidential and safe therapeutic space.

Dreamwork is a part of my sessions which really can uncover internal conflicts, anxieties and obstacles. It is also an exciting internal drama which speaks to us in a truly personal and uniquely creative way. I work with stress, depression, pressure, trauma, addiction, relationship issues, bereavement, ADHD, low self esteem, self harm & suicidal thoughts.

I encourage your positive aspects whilst you deal with difficult issues.  Raising your strength can help face struggles. Those who have positive mental wellbeing are generally self-confident, feel and express a range of emotions, can build and maintain healthy relationships, can cope with day to day life stressors, and can adapt in times of change or uncertainty.

I trained in the theatre as an actor, and have  knowledge of what it takes to work in the industry. I also created Jongleurs Comedy and  also trained in deep psychotherapy as both the arts and mental health were and are  a passion of mine.
